Parity

In order to maintain parity between vehicles in each division and parity among drivers (seeded versus master versus privateer) Australian GT has a very effective Parity System in place. To access the parity sheet for each event go to Event and select the relevant event to access to parity sheet you wish to view.

Parity Sheets

  • A Parity Sheet will be maintained per event and includes all automobiles competing in the Championship. 3 configuration levels will be specified per automobile on the Parity Sheet.

GT CHAMPIONSHIP:

  • Privateer drivers must present their cars in accordance with level 1 on the parity sheet.
  • Master drivers must present their cars in accordance with level 2 on the parity sheet.
  • Seeded drivers must present their cars in accordance with level 3 on the parity sheet.

GT CHALLENGE/PRODUCTION

  • All competitors must present their car in accordance with level 1 on the parity sheet. The competitor must move down to the next level on the parity sheet if they break the benchmark lap time set for that circuit by more than .5%.

  • Competitors must have with them at all times materials and tool necessary to comply with the parity sheet.
  • The Parity sheet details the current value of the parameter/s that may be adjusted on the basis of maintaining parity.
  • Any updates of the Parity sheet will be advised to all Competitors by AGT and will take effect as detailed on the parity sheet
  • Each automobile must comply with all provisions of the current Parity Sheet at all times during a meeting.
  • Australian GT reserves the right to adjust the Parity sheet at any time during the Series to maintain parity between the makes/models competing in the Series.

Benchmark Lap Time

For each round of the championship a benchmark lap time will be published in the parity sheet for each division.

In any official practice, qualifying and race session where any one driver of a particular make and model records a lap time of 0.5% or more less than the set Benchmark lap time for their division will incur an immediate adjustment as follows;

GT CHAMPIONSHIP - A 50kg weight penalty will be applied immediately.

GT CHALL/PROD - move to the next lowest parity level.
