Divisions

In season 2008 Australian GT introduced the division system to accommodate a wider variety of vehicles of varying levels of performance to be able to compete on a level playing field. In creating the division system there is now 3 titles within Australian GT that competitors can enter depending on their vehicle.

Each division has their own branding, round trophies and outright trophies.

  • The GT Championship division caters for the FIA GT3 specification vehicles.
  • The GT Challenge division caters for cars that no longer fit within the GT Championship division. These are mainly “Challenge” specification cars. This is a less expensive alternative to GT Championship.
  • The GT Production division caters for production based sportscars. This is also a less expensive alternate to GT Championship & GT Challenge .
Refer eligibility list (below) for eligible vehicles in each division.
